I was just thinking today how rare it is to actually be in contention for a

Conference championship in a league with 16 teams. Realistically it’s not going to happen very often—there are just so many teams. This isn’t the old MWC when we just had 8 teams, or even the PAC-12 with 12 teams. We might be experiencing a once in a decade occurrence right now—maybe twice. Enjoy it.
