I don't follow recruiting closely but it feels like this years roster may be the most talent roster we've ever had on paper.

Because of that it seems like we've got a lot of fans EXPECTING a sweet 16 run or better and a top 4 conference finish.

I'm curious how BYUs current roster compares to other rosters in the conference in terms of recruiting. Just because it's BYUs best roster doesn't mean it's better than other teams in the strongest conference in the country. Maybe I'm wrong in this? Genuinely curious what others with more knowledge have to say about this.

Feels like some fans have over hyped themselves and don't realize that this is an entirely new coaching staff, huge turnover in the roster, new scheme for them all to learn, and KY has been pretty open about still toying around with things and trying to feel things out. Chemistry and cohesion are huge and with so much newness, that's going to be a challenge (not insurmountable).

I'm cautiously optimistic due to the coaching staff and talent on the team but also fully expecting there to be seen growing pains and perhaps more losses than others here think. Regardless I think it's going to be a very fun style of basketball to watch.
