My guess is that Whit overplayed his hand, and he either had to succumb to the pressure to play Rising, or admit that he isn't as healthy as you've been saying all along. You've paid Rising a bunch of money, and every week you tell everybody he's pretty much healthy. Subsequently, you have everyone, including heavyweight donors asking, "well, if he's been 'pretty much healthy' for a month, how is he not yet healthy." Whit maintains that it's to the benefit of the team to keep everyone else guessing, but you simply can't keep doing that to your own fanbase and supporters, they won't put up with it. If Rising isn't ready to play, just say, "it looks like he's going to be out a month or so." Utah would have been much better off with Wilson playing, and likely will be the rest of the season.
