Open Enrollment Question
Currently have a HDHP that has:
- $5,000 Network Deductible
- $7,000 Out-of-pocket Max

We have baby #2 that is due in February and I'm trying to figure out if I should stay with the HDHP (and keep funding my HSA) or if I should switch to a EPO Plan that has:
- $0 deductible
- $5,000 Out of pocket max

We have a healthy amount in our HSA and I'd prefer to just pay for the pregnancy with savings and keep funding the HSA. But part of me is wondering if we should switch to the $0 deductible plan for 2025, have the baby, make sure he's healthy, etc., and then switch back to the HSA in 2026.

Have any of you switched from an HSA to a normal EPO plan for pregnancies or other medical events like that? Or is it worth it to just keep funding the HSA and pay a bit more out of pocket (probably $2-3k) for the pregnancy?
