A lady in my ward is a recent convert. She has 4 kids who she shares with her ex husband. Ex-Husband owns his own company in the construction industry; child support payments are spotty. She’s 40 years old, no degree, and is currently trying to sell insurance (she’s been at it for a year). She helped run her husband’s business doing the billing, HR, payroll, etc. she’s not sure selling insurance will provide enough for her family in the near term to meet their needs, and is considering a job change.
My question is this: what sorts of work have you seen single parents (single moms specifically) do to provide for their families? Realistically, she needs to make about $50K per year to keep the lights on, with her work availability between 9-4:30 plus evenings.
