The pitch clock is great, but to me there is one remaining problem with baseball pacing from the perspective of a casual fan.
Last night I went over to the BYU baseball game after the game I won’t talk about.
Literally EVERY time the cougars got a runner past first base (aka every time some action started), WVU called big all-team mound visit to talk about it.
Baseball should follow the lead of other sports and have timeouts capped at a certain number per team. I don’t care if it makes harder to swap pitchers out even, from the perspective of a casual fan I think they’d see that as a win.
