I’m turning 48 in a couple of weeks and decided it would be “fun” to train to run the fastest mile I can
I’m going to run a mile on the high school track on New Year’s Eve to establish a baseline number. I have a “coach” who will prescribe all of the workouts. We don’t really have a timeline for when I’ll actually make the official attempt. Nor do I have a specific goal in mind. I’m thinking maybe 5:15. But I really don’t know. Anyways, it’ll be an interesting experiment I think.

5:47 for 1600m is the baseline. I was pleasantly surprised. (Nigel Saladu, Dec 31, 2024 at 6:55pm)
