My thoughts on what is wrong with the NBA
First off, I love the NBA, but I’ve seen a lot of talk lately about what’s wrong with it and to me it seems like the increased parity hasn’t been good for ratings…

When has the NBA been its best?

80’s with Magic Lakers and Bird Celtics
90’s with Jordan Bulls
Shaq/Kobe Lakers

Lebron Heat and Lebron vs Warriors.

I think the nba is better when we have dominant teams. In the past those have always been on major market teams as well. I’m not sure that’s needed, but people didn’t get all that excited about the Duncan Spurs.

Current best players are in Denver, Milwaukee, Dallas, Oklahoma City….our future stars are in San Antonio and Minnesota.

We haven’t had a repeat champion since the KD Warriors. I think NBA fans need a dominant team…whether that’s them jumping on the bandwagon or having someone to root against. Seems to make the nba better.

The nfl model would be great, but I’m not sure the NBA can pull it off.
