That would give Retz 18 wins over his last two seasons in the regular season. By comparison, this is how other QBs did in their last two seasons (I took some off of Sark's numbers because he played more games in that crazy 15 game season).

Zach - 17 wins
Jaren - 18 wins
Doman - 14 wins
Hall - 20 wins
Beck: 16 wins
Walsh - 19 wins
Sarkisian - 19 wins

That puts Retzlaff smack in the QB factory who's who ... and Retzlaff will have played over twice as many P4 opponents, which is much more difficult than playing MWC schedules. When I think of QBs, I tier them as:

Tier 1, the Mt. Rushmore of QBs (e.g. McMahon, Young, Detmer, squabble over the 4th).
Tier 2, Best of the QB Factory (e.g. Beck, Hall, Sark)
Tier 3, Pretty darn good

Retzlaff is going to end up at least Tier 3, but very possibly Tier 2. Considering SOS, he probably should be Tier 2.

Folks bagging on him as the problem for this team are not making a good evaluation, IMO. And before the season, I wanted Bohanon and had no confidence in Retzlaff. But you look at the data and performance, and I think he's earned respect.
