Not a fan of big conferences. BYU, ISU, Buffs don't play in season. Many top SEC
teams don't play in season. At least there are CCGs now to decide champions, but that doesn't help if there are 3, 4 or more teams with legitimate claims to be conference champions. If Colorado wins out and BYU wins out or only loses 1 the CCG would seem to have the best teams, but few games with the teams at the top of the Big12 playing during the season. B1G has 4 teams with 0 or 1 conference loss and not many games among those 4 teams in season. 8 teams with 1 or 2 conference losses in the SEC and many of those don't play each other.

16, 18, bigger conferences really need a 4 game season ending conference tournament, similar to what many conferences had at the end of the COVID season. The last week of the year have the top 4 teams play a play-in to the CCG and the other teams play... maybe for the teams not in the CCG play-in games 5 plays last place, 6 plays 2nd to last place, etc. with the higher seeded teams playing home games the final weekend. If conferences play 8 conference games before the last play-in games and seeding based games everyone gets 4 home games. You get rewarded with a 5th home game if you are the higher seeded team in the final week games. This would help have clear winners in CCGs. This would also make in season games more meaningful. You get rewarded with a home game if you perform well in season. Maybe tie breakers start with not having replays of games already played and some flexibility in final week games to not have repeat games the play-in weekend.
