seems so comical and absurd, it seems strange that it actually happened. I was on my mission when he first got hired but I was excited for the success of his teams, especially winning conference championships. The whole situation with his sons playing on the team was kind of awkward, then there was the Burgess situation, and finally the 1-25 season. I heard that the roster was so depleted they had to get some football players on the team, (don't know if that's true or not.)

Unforunately there was no Cougarboard at the time but I heard that a lot of people didn't like him for various reasons other than coaching, the whole situation just seemed strange. The more I learn about it, the more preposterous it gets. What did most hardcore fans around BYU think about him at the time?
