Many of us are asking the wrong questions. It’s not a question of who will start
at the PG position for example. For the most part, we’ll see a positionless basketball system this year.

Positionless basketball refers to a style where players are not restricted to traditional positions like PG, forward, or center. Instead, all players are expected to shoot, dribble, defend, and facilitate, regardless of their size or assigned position

For example, Hall and Egor will absolutely start and play along side each other. They are both elite facilitators, ball handlers, defenders and shooters. It works because one of them is 6’9”, where many 2 PG systems fail because of a lack of size, creating defensive gaps.

Just think of them as two elite guards and stop trying to figure out who starts at PG or SG for example. It doesn’t matter in this system.
