Recently diagnosed with Moderate Mixed Obstructive and Central Sleep Apnea. Prescribed DME VPAP Adapt SV, specifically the Resmed S11.
I've read many of the sleep apnea threads here on CB. Sounds like a sleep apnea machine has been a blessing for many, but less effective for some.
My main question is about buying the machine vs renting it from insurance. I have SelectHealth insurance but will be switching to Cigna before the end of the year. Is it better to just go through insurance or is buying a machine myself a reasonable cost-saving option? It sounds like I may have to rent the machine for 12-13 months? I was hoping to get most of the costs out of the way before my insurance plan year restarts.
Any other advice?
