Lots of cool memories from Jan 1, 1997 Cotton Bowl, but the one that came to
mind first for me just now was we were visiting my in-laws and my MIL did not understand that I do not eat during BYU football unless I am also watching the game.
She prepared a very nice meal and watching the game was not in her plans. She quickly figured out how insistent I was going to be, but I’m pretty sure I stepped on her toes. We watched while we ate.
