So he has started moving furniture out of his office to another person's office in an attempt to isolate the beep.

He moved the correct item to another office and the occupant of the second office heard the beep, so they have commenced the search. The piece is a 3 drawer file cabinet type piece. He is taking everything out of each drawer and examining each item. This will test how well I...oops, I mean, someone concealed the device. It is very possible he will not find it, but has become more likely he will.

I have a plan in place though. If/when he leaves his office without finding the device, a co-conspirator will secure the device and a new location for the device will be utilized.

This is a game that could go on for a very long time.
