I can’t even imagine the headache of transferring multiple times and dealing with credits transferring, moving my junk, etc.
A smart athlete is going to achieve something academically even if it’s a degree in exercise science. It would be very shortsighted to only focus on basketball and do poorly in the classroom. If they can lock in good money AND a degree, good for them.
For a guy like Waterman, going to 4 schools in his college career, well… I hope he wants to live in Louisville the rest of his life. Because he won’t go pro and that piece of paper is going to lock him into a network that hopefully is worth a lot more than 1 year of NIL. I hear Louisville is a nice place, so it’s not the worst place to end up.
