Hard to say but having had a major injury before the first two weeks were excruciating. Then I either got used to the
pain or it started to subside slowly where I could tolerate. It didn’t feel good but I didn’t feel like I wanted to shoot myself.
All narcotics did was take the edge off.

By the way, if you can tolerate the side-effects of the opioids, and if they help, I would take them as prescribed for
