may get their own special carved out deals, but the majority of the scholarship players are just getting a canned amount that correlates to their year (freshman, sophomore, etc) and/or their playing status (two deep player, starter, etc). Then they can go out and get special NIL deals on top of that for making public appearances, social media advertising, etc if they want (this is the niche that CougConnect fills).
I know when NIL first became a thing Kalani was vocal about wanting most players on the team to be getting the same amount, a la a tiered system.
