We refer to it as subsidies, but reality is BYU is actually spending much less to run a university than others. So they
Are not actually eating the cost in subsides. It just costs them less because of what they are willing to spend.
45k a year at top schools is because of the self accrued expense that said universities have placed on themselves.

They are eating a lot. All non scholarship students at BYu, are basically on 70%
