When I was a teenager, these individuals were such young veterans, because we
still had WWI, WWII and Korean war vets. There were so many war veterans around us. We didn't even think much of the Vietnam soldiers being vets because they were still so young. Now, to see this Vietnam vet die at the age of 89 just doesn't seem possible. The WWI vets are now long gone, WWII are trickling down to nothing, as well as the Korean vets. We'll turn around and these Vietnam vets will be gone as well. RIP. We salute you for your deep devotion to our country and acknowledge your sacrifice.
