sound when playing a storied franchise. You want to sound like you belong.

And they all sound dumb at first. But you want to find one that eventually won't.

For example, the Rays (once Devil Rays) still sounds dumb when playing the Red Sox or the Yankees. To me, at least. It still sounds cheap and gimmicky.

I think hearing New York Rangers vs. Utah Yetis sounds dumb. It think it will still sound dumb in 20 years. In 20 years I think Utah HC would sound like it belongs more than Yeti.

But...Kracken is working for Seattle, so why not laden all the new teams with mythical cartoon beasts that foster stupid looking mascots. They will sell a lot of jerseys, for sure. But it is kind of a XFL/AA baseball way to go.
