A shame? That he was given yet another shot to crack into the lineup of a pretty competitive team & w a great staff?
If there was any shame in Van Komen's SMC experience, I doubt that was on Randy or his staff.
Maybe Van Komen gave his best — & just wasn't good enough (once again) to crack into the rotation — or even to be used situationally all that much. In which case, there'd be no place to speak of any "shame," would there be?
