That's basically telling him politely to find somewhere else to go. Seems like BYU and Davis got a better deal with him going somewhere else.

My main point is still that Davis is a talent that usually does well at BYU. Moving on from him absolutely implies that KY thinks he can get better talent. Whether that's simply because of system fit or overall talent is a gamble.
