I read it as BYU was going to honor the academic scholarship, not the basketball
Scholarship, as in he can go to school but he doesn't have a roster spot. Maybe I was read between the line incorrectly.
Don't p4 schools have to honor scholarships if they cut a kid from a team (outside of disciplinary/rule breaking) reasons? Or am I way off base.
