Reading between the lines regarding Davis....
Reading from his father's post I extrapolate the following:

- BYU did not pull the scholarship offer. KY was willing to honor the scholarship and utilize Davis
- I think maybe KY's vision for Davis at BYU didn't match up with his vision
- Add in some of the current and rumored recruits, the role became a bit more murky
- Hence, the opportunity at USU provided a clear path to his goals and overall success. In the end, he chose what was best for him.

I was truly excited to have a local kid play at BYU. I've watched a ton of his games as I knew many of his HS teammates over the last few years. I wish him success at USU or wherever he might end up.
