And I saw the surprising stat that Burgess was a 46% free throw shooter for his college career (starting with 38% FT as a freshman as Duke and working up to 57% FT as a senior at U of U).
Good for Chris for overcoming any stereotypes against poor free throwers and still succeeding with a good coaching career. Normally for a poor free throw shooter I would assume the individual involved didn't have the focus or work ethic or mental fortitude to be a leader in the sport, but Coach Burgess defied those odds and the stereotype. (But I still wonder what he says to the players he coaches when discussing free throws.)
