Best place to live in Utah County taking into account traffic, cost, schools
With this talk about how outrageous real estate prices have gotten, traffic etc... where is THE spot in Utah County? I have never lived in Utah in my life other than when I was a student at BYU, but if one were to move to Utah County, where is the ideal spot? Ideally if you were looking for good schools for teenagers, relatively good cost of living, short-ish commutes let's say to Orem or Provo, good club and high school athletic programs...

From an outsiders standpoint, places like Saratoga Springs do not make the cut as it takes like 15-20 minutes just to reach the I-15 and is too far away from the mountains for my liking. I've spent a lot of time in Utah visiting over my life, and from a "feel" standpoint it seems like south of Provo (Mapleton, Spanish Fork) are much quieter with less going on? Places up in Lehi/Alpine/Highland are newer and nicer but a lot more driving to head south and lot more congested?
