We had a cat go missing and suddenly turned up about two weeks later in relatively good health. Unfortunately, we've
had it go the other way, as well. We've had one go missing and never came back.
I know, not really helpful. But I can sympathize, it's tough when you have young kids involved. I hope, for your daughters sake, it shows up again.
