What stops a dental hygienist from opening a teeth cleaning/whitening business?
No xrays, no cavities, nothing special. Just daily appointments (30-60 minutes) for either cleaning or whitening. Appointments on line just like a barber shop. Open during evening hours to accommodate business people.
Are there rules preventing that type of business? Can a hygienist bill insurance for cleanings or is that exclusive to a dentist?
