What if Utah were to build a new major city??? Housing prices in Utah have grown too fast. Old timers remain unwilling
to allow enough new development in their neighborhoods... organic growth isn't happening fast enough... sooooo...

What if UT were to announce a new city and provide the infrastructure in advance for it? The infrastructure would importantly include a new state university and regional airport. It would also include new roads, elementary/middle/high schools, a municipal golf course, library, convention center, fire/police departments, parks etc.

They could then sell dirt to home builders, office builders etc to help cover a portion of the costs.

Because of the mountains on both sides of the valley, SLC is in a very difficult spot trying to build enough housing. New ideas are needed.

(assume we get a Republican president who would release some federal lands for the city and assume the Feds would cover some of the infrastructure)
