In conference play, SJ shot 31% from three which was higher than JR's 30% from
three. In conference play, SJ shot 42% from the field which was higher than JR's 39% from the field. JR did beat him handily from the free throw line.

SJ and JR both played 28 minutes per game during conference, so it wasn't really a hierarchical difference between the two.

It was too bad that JR's quality of play went so far down in conference play. It would have been great to have that NCAA tournament performer being there for us all through conference.

Of course the non-conference is also an important part, and JR outshot SJ during that stretch.

I think these two players were close to equally valuable to us (or pretty close) looking at the season as a whole, because SJ was far more important for us defensively and in rebounding.

But due to measurables, JR is an NBA prospect and SJ isn't. So people will scrutinize JR more closely because of how hard it is to make it in the NBA. I am not sure if SJ is wanting to pursue overseas basketball professionally.
