For an elite symphony in a city like Salt Lake, a 5* venue optimized for that type of performance is needed.
I have not been to all the venues and talked to the directors about how well they work for orchestras and if they could manage schedules without Abravanel, but I would be shocked if the arts community didn’t insist on keeping a symphony first home venue.
