doubt in 2023? Slovis played at least 3 games against TERRIBLE opponents. Retzlaff had to shake the rust off much faster and had a much harder stretch of games after not playing for a couple of months. I don't think it's fair to compare the two without taking into account the level of opponents both faced. Retzlaff went against the top 4 teams in the Big12.
Correction... retzlaff didnt play the number 1 team in the big12. The question and point still stands. Slovis got to shake off rust and still looked horrible against SH, and though looked better against SouthernUtah still threw a pick. And a lot of that was contributed to oline play. So why doesnt Retzlaff get the same benefit of the doubt?
