foundation. You can certainly install heat tape to prevent damming. I have a metal roof and have these pegs staggered for a few feet in the area above my front door and side door. You would be shocked how much snow can slide off at once off of those metal roofs. It’s super dangerous. Those pegs break it up so it can’t slide off in a huge chunk that can hurt someone.
