BYU never "believed it could be a Notre Dame Jr. It thought its brand was better than mere mortals in those … conferences."
The truth: BYU had no options to join a power conference and independence was the best option.
I also find it comical that he considers TCU to be a religious institution. Baylor, yes. TCU, no.
