In regard to the tailgating discussion and those who keep saying it is only 6
Saturdays a year: There is one very important factor they are leaving out.

It isn't only that it is 6 times, it is when those 6 Saturdays appear on the calendar. Saturdays are precious in September and October because those are the days we spend our time "winterizing" our homes and cars prior to the cold and snow. I can goof off on a Saturday in June and always make it up the next Saturday. Not so easy to do in mid-October because the next Saturday may be too late.

In most (if not all) of SEC territory the winter doesn't sit in like it does in Utah.

For those teams in the North with similar weather conditions as Utah, they still have Sunday (as has been pointed out in the original thread). I had a good friend in Minnesota who was very active in his church. His Sunday worship was less than 2 hours and included dressing in Sunday best, driving to church to attend meetings, driving home and changing into work clothes. I could never have the free time on the Sabbath that he had. He didn't just have those six Saturdays because he had 6 Sundays to make up for any lost Saturday.

Those saying we should be able to tailgate the same as others are just whistling into the wind and no one can hear their tune.
