Utah doesn't know how to pick OCs. They bought into hype with Christensen.
Here are the total offense and scoring ranks for Christensen's offenses at Wyoming:
		Total Off. Scoring Off.
2009 107 109
2010 116 107
2011 59 67
2012 70 72
2013 22 51

Looks pretty good right? A steady rise in the rankings with each passing year that Christensen was there. The problem only becomes noticeable when you look deeper into the background of those rankings. There is a significant uptick in their rankings when BYU, Utah, and TCU leave the MWC, and it essentially becomes WAC 2.0.

The rankings continue to improve within the new MWC through 3 years. Still, a look at their schedules shows the ineptitude of their offense to generate points against teams with a heartbeat. Their greatest scoring games came against mostly FCS opponents and MWC cellar dwellers. Teams like N. Colorado, Idaho, UNLV, and N. Mexico.

KWhitt simply isn't doing his homework. He's gone after coaches who were once offensive masters in their prime, but have since drifted into mediocrity, and one of them having an axe to grind with BYU. Then, he goes for a flash in the pan that looks good on paper... fools gold. If KWhitt was the main driving force behind making these hires he's been his own worst enemy imo. He's made some terrible misjudgments. In fact, if he could have looked past the rivalry he had going with BYU, one of the best (if not the best) hires to make after the 2010 season would have been... Robert Anae. Now I don't know if Anae would have coached at Utah or not, but I think he looks at it as a job, and if Utah is making the best offer why not (in his mind)?

Good thing KWhitt doesn't know how to hire when it comes to offensive coaches.
