The good news is that most HS kids with that kind of body are very awkward at that age. It's possible now that he's had
more time to grow into that body that he might be improved coordination-wise. I have no idea whether he'll ever see the court for meaningful minutes but there are definite instances where kids like that really can improve once their bodies have stopped growing.
