yeah but BYU has to compete with the SEC and a bunch of the big 12 and ACC for
those kids. and being in the big 12, BYU is playing against schools that are pretty much entirely made up of kids from the south.
for baseball especially, the climate is hard to overcome. this isn’t even considering the honor code and religious stuff that makes recruiting tougher.
