run around. She is due on the 9th but scheduled an induction for today. Her current insurance only covers her at IHC facilities and her doctor delivers at American Fork Hospital. No problem if they would actually let her in. She was supposed to be checked in last night or early this morning, but, she has been getting "sorry, we can't get you in yet and can't tell you when we can" messages since yesterday afternoon.

Spontaneous labor cases she understands (your water breaks, you get in), but they have also moved a couple of inductions in front of her as well and they "don't have a room and a nurse available right now" so even those inductions have not happened yet.

She is getting very frustrated. She lives in Tooele county and is staying with us now with her two sons (5 and 3) while dad goes to work, gets his oldest (7) to school and then takes her to his mother's house afterwards. He is just waiting to find out when his wife actually gets checked in to the hospital before coming down to Orem.

My daughter had two other inductions but they were at Timpanogos Hospital in Orem (a non-IHC facility) and went off without a hitch as scheduled. In making her plans for today, none of us had any idea this would be the case with IHC so lots of adjustments are being made. Too many Utah County moms having babies right now, I guess 🙂
