their site by about 15-20% for nearly a decade. They claim the zestimate is typically within a few percent of the final sale price, so they know their algorithm is accurate, but it just hasn’t ever been accurate for my home at all.
We recently listed our home and listed it similarly priced to comparable homes with recent sales which was about 20% higher than the zestimate. Suddenly the zestimate jumped to $100 off the list price. We just lowered the price $15K this morning because it’s really become a buyers market with these stupid rate hikes, and Zillow dropped the zestimate immediately to $5K below the new listed price.
No wonder their zestimate is so accurate compared to final sale prices…
