Explain to me how Nolan’s weirdness did anything but a disservice to the story of Dunkirk.
The dumb timeline.
The unwillingness to portray the actual scale of the event.
The lack of character development.
The dumb soundtrack.
I could go on. But without sounding like an abstract art critic, tell me how this movie wasn’t pretentious.
