Some people have ridiculous expectations for "inside" information. Just take it for what it is - a partial look at
a changeable situation. It's impossible for anybody to know everything about any of these situations until there's a public announcement. Until then, it's going to be partial info and that means it could be wrong info. Nobody knows exactly what's going on in a recruit's mind, for example. In these situations, all that can be shared are efforts to land that recruit and a guess as to how it might be going. That's it.

If you don't expect certainty from "insiders" you won't be disappointed and you can actually enjoy hearing snippets of info.
