We're been to Hilo before. Last time we saw Akaka falls, went to the Tsunami museum (wife's grandparents lost a business to the big tsunami back in 1951).

We've been to the Kilauea volcano park, hiked through the Kaumana Caves, hiked up some of the Mauna Kea volcano trails off of the Saddle road. That was one of my favorite activities.

Snorkeling is a given. Carl Smith Beach is nice, but cold from all the mountain spring water flowing in.

We've eaten in times past at Cafe 100, Ken's house of pancakes, we got mana pua from Lee's Chop Sui, Kona Inn Restaurant etc.

Looking for new suggestions for our next visit. Just wife and me. No kids.
