Gelsenkirchen was my favorite area I served in my mission.
I love soccer and Schalke is really the only professional team I truly cheer for.
A few months after being transferred to the Gelsenkirchen area in 2002 they won the DFB Pokal. Our apartment was right over the Buer area pedestrian zone and fans we're going crazy all night. It was fun.
