the main priority should be to reduce the animosity (or points of possible animosity-causing events) of the living family members towards each other. This is best done not by looking at how to maximize profit/gain but rather how to liquidate, divide up / untangle / decouple the money/inheretence, and continue on in life without any financial interdependency between the inheritors.

Once people receive their fair share of the pie and its 100% within their control, then how people choose to use/spend/invest is up to them.

I’m not saying this as the definitive ‘let me tell you how it should be done’ spokesperson, but just some advice from experiences.
