1. Keelan Marion is going to touch the ball . . . a lot. ARod mentioned multiple times when they reviewed the tape from 2024 how many of Keelan’s receptions were contested and in traffic. They see him as a playmaker, and they are going to put him in different positions to make plays.
2. Carsen Ryan may not come off the field at TE. He can catch. He can block. And he already knows the playbook. There may not be a bigger discrepancy between the first- and second-string as there is at TE. In 2024 we tipped off too many offensive plays due to our TE personnel as we didn’t have guys who could catch AND block.
3. Isaiah Jatta has come a long ways since he stepped foot on campus a year ago. You don’t see many guys who are starters at a P4 program, transfer, and then Redshirt. But that’s exactly what Jatta did when he came from Colorado. He is now considered a leader of the OL, and ARod has stated he will start at LT. Insinuated in that statement was if Andrew Gentry comes back healthy, he would be at RT.
4. Pokai Haunga may be third on the depth chart at RB, but he is going to get touches. ARod has referred to him as “dynamic” and a “playmaker”, and coaches see him as a Reno Mahe-type. They are going to have packages to get him the ball in the run AND pass games.
