I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to share some difficult news: my dad passed away Thursday evening after a courageous battle with multiple illnesses: congestive heart failure , diabetes, and kidney failure among other issues. I thought I had more time.

Unfortunately, his insurance company canceled his policy two weeks prior to his passing, and my mom didn't have time to appeal the decision.

I'm going to be covering as much as I can, but I know there's more to come as my mom will try to find another place to live with my brother who is disabled.

I know you all have been very gracious and supportive of people in the past and I’m hoping you may be able to help my mom and brother.

FYI: my dad graduated from the U but attended BYU and was a Cougar at heart.
