I believe there is almost no chance Demin returns. Consider:
- Money - Rookie wage scale dictates salaries. Picks 1-15 make between $12M and $5M per year. Picks 16-30 make between $4.6M and $2.5M per year. It’s very very unlikely he’d see near that at BYU
On the other hand, the second round (Richie) doesn’t have guarantees, most are two G-League contracts, and you are usually playing in empty gyms against castoffs.
In other words, Demin needs to go and Richie shouldn’t.
