Not sure about the appropriate category, but given the generosity of CBers I thought I'd pass this along. Hope it doesn't get lost in the pre-game posts.
My wife's cousin had her 4th baby about 2 weeks ago, and, apparently, as can sometimes happen with post-partum women, she developed a spontaneous coronary artery dissection and passed away. She was 36. Her funeral was today and while it had that special hope that attends LDS funerals, it was also sad due to her leaving 4 kids behind (ages 5, 4, 2, and again one about 2 weeks old). You can tell she was loved by the length of the obit in the link below. One thing I took away: the importance of keeping a journal. It was mentioned several times that her children, while they likely won't remember much about her given their ages, will have her meticulously-kept journals, including her testimony of the restored gospel, recorded for their benefit, which many children wouldn't have.
Her grandfather is a die-hard Cougar fan, but of an age not likely to be on CB, which is why I'm posting this. He and his wife, the grandparents to this girl, were the ones who welcomed me into their Provo home, about a block away from what was then Cougar Stadium, after I married sister BYUJDMBA while at BYU. He and I cheered many a BYU football and basketball team together.
Just making the appeal to help out her husband, who suddenly is raising 4 kids solo and can use the help. Anything is appreciated. The gofundme page has a recent pic of her family, including husband and new baby. Please consider donating. Frankly it's heartbreaking.
